I was browsing through homes available for rent right now in places we could possibly move to in June. I was shocked at how gorgeous (and cheap!) they were in Charlston, South Carolina....this one is sooo cute...I think it was around the same price as our tiny apartment here in SF! I have been having mixed emotions about moving. Half of me is sad because I know how hard it will be to leave this place I love and how much I will miss it...but the other part of me is excited for a new adventure. Steve has applied to a lot of residencies (for pediatric), I think this is a complete list:
  1. LA
  2. SF again
  3. Seattle
  4. Denver
  5. Salt Lake City
  6. Louisville, Kentucky
  7. Ann Arbor, Michigan
  8. Wisconsin
  9. 2 in Connecticut
  10. Rhode Island
  11. Charlston South Carolina
  12. 2 in Florida
  13. Honolulu.....

So, I guess we will just have to see where Steve gets invited to interview! (one so far, Hawaii!)

dreaming...

I can't wait to go back to Venice one day...(hopefully many times!). after my hard experience there attempting to be an 'au pair' you would think I would never want to go back, but its actually one of my very favorite places ever. I've been back a couple times since and its so dreamy and quaint, timeless and so breathtakingly beautiful.

is my husband not the cutest thing you have ever seen? I love his messy hair and scruff! our trip to utah was so great, we loved how hot it was and Isla was obsessed with being outside ( I have so many adorable pics of her I need to post on her blog tomorrow). we miss utah summers. steve and I had the best day in park city and going to a movie, it had been a while since we had a good date! we were so loving it.

blog title

I was just talking to my dad about Italy yesterday, reminiscing. He served his mission in Northern Italy and I spent one summer living in his favorite area of his mission, Genoa. I spent my days heading down to the train, choosing which beach town I wanted to spend the day at, swimming/laying out, getting my favorite gelato. These days were so dreamy and surreal. Being there for about 4 months, I am grateful I had the experience to feel like a local, doing everyday things like grocery shopping and laundry, getting to know the area and amazing people I still love and miss!
While on the beaches there, an Italian man will walk along the water with a bucket, calling out Coco Bello! over and over. I would hear him and wait and then buy my little pieces of cold coconut. "Beautiful Coconut". Its also a pet name.
